The School of Art offers the M.F.A., a terminal advanced degree program designed for studio artists who seek the highest level of preparation in their field. With major concentrations in art metals/jewelry, ceramics, digital media, drawing, graphic design, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture, the M.F.A. qualifies students to function as professional artists, apply for jobs in higher education, and seek other arts-related employment. Students may alternatively pursue The M.A., an advanced studio arts degree with major concentrations in art metals/jewelry, ceramics, digital media, drawing, graphic design, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. The M.A. prepares students to work at the junior college level or pursue further studies at the M.F.A. level. The M.A.A.E. is a Masters of Art in Art Education degree designed for individuals pursuing professional training as art teachers in public schools, museums, and other educational sites.
